WHAT I WORE: ASOS Curve Asymmetric Dress

Tuesday, March 04, 2014

This past Saturday I attended David Peck's Spring 2014 Collection "Desk-Ination" Fashion Show.  I actually RSVP'd for the event super late (as in the morning of, somehow I had missed the invitation that was sent a month earlier), so I jumped out of bed and tornadoe'd my closet trying to find something to wear.  About a month ago I made a few online purchases from Macy's, Forever 21+, and ASOS Curve. I loved this dress from Asos and hadn't had a chance to wear it yet, and I thought, "Why Not?". Since I had rsvp'd the day of there were no more seats available and I was offered standing room which I happily accepted, however since I knew I'd be standing I opted to wear flats to the presentation. I did pack a pair of heels just in case...you never know when you'll need a pair of heels. This is actually the backwards approach, since most women wear heels and pack a pair of flats for emergencies! When I returned home I decided to take my outfit photos with both pairs of shoes.  I was inspired by the original story of Cinderella for the above picture.  In the original story a tree that she planted above her mother's grave was magical and shook from it's leaves the dress and shoes that she wore to the ball.

Flats: Payless (similar)
Dress: ASOS Curve
Watch: Michael Kors (similar)
Earrings: Birthday Gift
Pumps: Chinese Laundry (similar)
Necklace: Betsey Johnson (Birthday Gift - similar)

I love the asymmetric hem of this dress! The dress covers up most of the body, but it's sexy!
Mint Green Chinese Laundry Pumps - I love these shoes! Cute and comfy
I'm obsessed with this Betsey Johnson necklace! It's so fun, so Betsey!
I admit that I've been wearing these earrings everyday! I just love them!
I've had these flats for years! I'll always enjoy the silver and the bejeweled embellishments
Styled my hair in a side pony-tail for the occasion - This is when I wish I could do my own fishtail braid!

It was a windy blustery day yesterday! Perfect to show-off the movement of this dress...just don't want a Marilyn Monroe moment!
Peace out for now!
