NEW YORK FASHION WEEK: Marchesa Fall 2014 CollectionThursday, February 13, 2014
These Marchesa gowns were particularly rich! Rich in color and detailing. I loved the satins, and sheer fabrics used for the garments, and even the heavier fur outwear. A lot of the garments seemed to be Grecian inspired to me too with a toga-esque feel (I love making up words to describe clothes). The looks honestly made me think of Greek Goddesses, especially the models sporting the cornrows with their looks! That made me think of Artemis, God of the Hunt! She would probably rock cornrows with her bow and arrow. Fur was used to add volume and appliques galore enhanced the gowns. There was a variety of necklines across the looks from one-shoulder to high-neck.
