MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK: Mara Hoffman & Herve Leger Fall 2014 CollectionsSunday, February 09, 2014
Mara Hoffman loves her some print, and she picks them out so well. I love the blue ones the most in her collection. I enjoy the loose-fitting, bohemian fits of her garments. Between the print and the fit they have a very tribal feel. I can pick out a lot of Aztec inspired prints. I'm also a big fan of those gold cuffs that go up and down the arms of the models. I would SOOO wear those. I'd feel like a warrior or Amazon Princess! Mara choose a few black and white prints to mix in with the blue prints, and the "mixed" very well. I think my favorite look from this collection is the black jumpsuit with the Aztec block design over the chest. Love it. Scroll down for my take on Herve Leger's collection.
Lubov and Max stayed true to the Herve Leger aesthetic with uber-fitted garments. They had some unique embellishments on their looks from feathers that made me thing the models could fly away, to fringed skirts that reminded me of the brushes that clean your car in an automated car wash. Overall it was a pretty cool collection, but it's the same. Of course one day when I have a ready for a body-con dress I will own a Herve Leger design!
