EVENT RECAP: Tootsies' Love's in FashionMonday, February 24, 2014
Tootsies' annual Love's in Fashion charity event was a hit. It was held at the beginning of February and featured philanthropist couples in Houston to raise money for the charity; Dec My Room. Dec My Room is an amazing organization that decorates hospital room of kids and young adults who are stuck in the hospital for an extended amount of time. They take the time to get know the loves and interests of their patients and make a theme for their rooms to hopefully help create a cheerful and healing place for the patients. This is definitely a charity that I'll be following closely! I love their mission and if there's anyway that I can help them take this program to hospitals around the country than I'll definitely help. The event was fun, and I hung out with blogger friends: Heather Petrey, Taylor Brione and Sarah Pendley. Of course I was starving arriving at the event right from work, so I may have embarrassed myself chasing after the food servers, but a girl's gotta eat and the hors d'oeuvres were yummy. I also had a strong Iced Tea cocktail sponsored by Deep Eddy V and the girls in their cute vintage polka dot dresses. Around 7:45, the fashion show started. The show rotated back and forth between the philanthropist couples and models from the Neal Hamil Agency.
|Surprise Guest: Johnny "Football" Manziel walked out with Cancer Survivor Charlie Dina who views Johnny as his hero. Johnny has become fast friends with Charlie and wore bracelets for him to support him while he was undergoing radiation and chemotherapy.|
|Such a touching moment!|
