WHAT I WORE: Sequin Stripes & Olive MetallicsWednesday, January 15, 2014
When I went to Macy's to pull clothes for 2 of my models for the Great Day Houston TV Segment I pulled a look for myself too! Macy's set me up with Deyna, their personal shopper and we went around grabbing all kinds of fun stuff for myself and the models. I really like the looks I pulled for Regina and Lisa! For myself, this is what I left Macy's with. I actually started off with an INC Tunic, that was really cute, but when I put it on it was just "cute". On my way to the fitting room however I noticed this top out the corner of my eye because of the sequins. It was in the Jessica Simpson Plus Size Collection. I grabbed it and took it into the fitting room with me. As soon as I put this top on I had an "AHA" moment! I was cheesing and Deyna could see it all over my face that this was the perfect shirt. However, I originally grabbed a size 2X which is my size, but not in this shirt. Deyna grabbed a 1X for me, and it fit like a glove!
I'm a big fan of hi-lo tops for curvy girls, and especially my own figure, because they tend to mask my stomach with the shorter length in front, but also mask any derriere issues like I talked about in the segment. And of course my style has always been flashy, so I'm automatically drawn to anything with sequins to being with! I tried the top on with a few different jeans, but fell in love with these skinny pants from INC Women. They fit perfectly too! Finally, I was no longer suffering from "saggy" butt syndrom. After picking out the jeans and the top, it was time to find shoes. As soon as I saw these olive metallic ankle boots, I knew they were the ones! They fit perfectly into this look!
