And what better time of year than January to experiment with the flavors and techniques that make this timeless, beloved beverage so delicious . Try the tips below as you explore some hot teas this month to stay warm and celebrate all that Hot Tea Month has to offer!


  • Try black teas with wintry flavors, like ginger and cardamom, with or without milk.

  • If you like your tea sweet, experiment with honey or even a touch of maple syrup instead of refined sugar.

  • Drink non-caffeinated herbal teas as an easy way to get your eight glasses of water a day.

  • Have no fear of looseleaf teas. There are adorable and easy-to-use tea infusers in lots of shapes and styles. Looseleaf tea can also be fresher than tea bags.
