WHAT I WORE: Houston Vintage FestivalFriday, October 25, 2013
As previously mentioned in my Houston Vintage Preview Party post, I don't really own any vintage clothing! However, I have a co-worker who is into vintage-inspired styles and has a plethora of clothes and since I wanted to blend in at the Houston Vintage Festival. So I chatted with her about potentially borrowing one of her looks. The next day she came in with a bag full of wonderful options. There were so many options that I couldn't make a decision that day and took the whole bag home to play around with it on the Saturday of the Festival. I eventually decided on this 40's inspired dress from Torrid. I loved the sleeves on it, and of course it was a a typical humid day in Houston, so this was the best option too for the weather. I added my fascinator headband from Bedford Falls Headwear, and a victorian-era inspired necklace from New York & Company. The shoes also belong to Marisa.
When I got home from the festival the shoes came off!! Yes they were super comfy, but I walked around in them for hours at the festival and my feet were DONE. So these photos at my house are sans-shoes! haha
