WHAT I WORE: Black Dress & Custom Fascinator

Tuesday, August 13, 2013

Right before I left for the Texas Style Council I stopped to make some returns at the Galleria Mall....needless to say about an hour later I had some new purchases from New York & Company, including this black cocktail dress.  I thought it was such a cute fit, and I'm always looking for sleeveless A-Line dresses to make it through this heat. Even though I already had outfits packed for each day I threw my bag of New York & Company purchases into the trunk and ended up wearing this dress for the learning sessions on Day 2.  It worked out really well because earlier that week, I met with Heather of LA Fashion Snob to order a custom fascinator.  Heather makes fascinators, and I'm always inspired by her amazing style, and her creativity. We chatted about what I wanted, and got to my love of Mardi Gras masks.  I wanted one that would be a pop against a monotone color palette so I picked the colors black and purple, and told her I wanted some bling! She nailed it and this fascinator was the perfect TOUCH for this dress!.
