THE EVENT: Party in Pink

Sunday, August 04, 2013

Last week I attended an event called Party in Pink hosted by Hotel ZaZa for Susan G. Komen. It was so much fun! For a suggested donation of $25 guests were treated to a beautiful world of pink at Hotel Zaza's pool.  Everything at the party was pink, all the way to the floating rubber duckies in the pool. When you arrived upstairs to the pool area there was a pink carpet and you could take your picture in front of the event's step and repeat.  Outside at the pool area there was so much going on, it was almost overwhelming! There was an auction area with items from the event's sponsors.  Sprinkles cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, pink popcorn from The Popcorn Bar, pink cotton candy, and mini hotdogs were situated around the pool area. And if that wasn't enough food, ZaZa waitstaff were walking around with hors d'oeuvres. Pink cocktails were also flowing.

As far as entertainment, a DJ was posted up on the bridge above the pool spinning the latest tunes, Neal Hamil Models held statuesque poses showing off the latest trends available at Tootsies.  There was a Kissing Booth where you could pay to receive a peck from KHOU media anchors. A fortune teller was there to tell you your future (good or bad!) and Houston Tidbits, & Susan G. Komen had booths to learn more about their organizations.  At night time the models walked around with sparklers. The event was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed checking out how everyone styled their pink, including the men!.
