WHAT I WORE: Sunray Yellow

Monday, April 08, 2013

When I attended the Macy's Spring Essentials event a few weeks ago, I stayed after to do some shopping! One of my purchases was this INC International Concepts Blazer.  I was inspired by the looks I saw on the runway from the event that featured brights, especially yellow, and I realize I don't have NEARLY enough yellow in my closet and decided to purchase this. I wore it to work on a rather cloudy, dreary day. I like to do that on days like that to feel like I'm bringing sunshine everywhere I go. Bringing in bright colors when it seems all doom and gloom outside. I also paired this blazer with another big trend for Spring: Stripes.  I work at a plant, so most of my outfits involve jeans and sneakers, but now that I own these cute pair of MK canvas shoes, I no longer feel "frumpy"! Ha!

Blazer: INC International Concepts (Macy's)
Tank: Forever 21
Jeans: Old Navy
Necklace: Kendra Scott Jewelry
Sneakers: Michael Kors (Macy's)

As you can see I have a bit of a tummy, so wearing blazers and vests are an amazing way to mask any flaws.  I keep the blazer closed and all's well that ends well! ha!

I purchased this necklace at the Kendra Scott Boutique in Rice Village during my birthday month. If you are on the store's mailing list you receive a discount during your bday month and this is what I choose to buy with my discount. Isn't it cute? It's called the Issie Heart Necklace.
My new MK shoes. I love them, and they weren't that expensive either. I bought these for $89.00 from Macy's and I had a $10.00 gift card
