WHAT I WORE: Spikes & Embellished Chevron

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

There was no doubt in my mind that I'd go out and purchase a new outfit for my organization's first annual anniversary and holiday party, and that's exactly what I did.  I spenr a whole evening going from store to store to find a dress that I liked, that fit, and flattered me, and I fell in love with this embellished chemise dress from White House|Black Market. But to feel fully comfy in the dress (since it was a little fitted) I wanted to add some "camouflage" and so I also purchased this fun embroidered vest. The vest also came in black, but I really liked the contrast between the white vest and the black dress and gold in the vest with the gold in the dress.  The embellishment on the dress was gold and silver, so either metal would work for accessories. I chose to do both! Gold accessories, and silver headband.

Vest: White House | Black Market
Dress: White House | Black Market
Headband: BcbgMazAzria
Pumps: Steve Madden
Necklace: DuO Houston
Makeup: Done by Beauty by LeRenda

The vest actually comes with a tan belt, but I liked it better without the belt, and wore it without.  How sick is this headband? It's pretty obvious by now that I LOVE hair accessories, so when I saw this headband at BCBGMazAzria at Galleria Dallas, I had to purchase it! Another incentive was the Galleria Dallas Shopper's discount card we had received a few minutes before that gave me 10% off of this fun little purchase!
