THE EVENT: Burberry Runway to Reality Event

Friday, September 28, 2012

Though I can't afford, them haute couture & high-end fashion never ceases to captivate me, make me drop my jaw, and wish that I had millions to buy everything I've always wanted...well maybe one day. In the mean time, I will settle for being invited to exclusive events to view their latest collections and covet items I can't have...yet...lol And this is exactly what I did last Thursday at Burberry's Exclusive Invite-Only Runway to Reality event.  Chris Bailey and Burberry brought their latest Spring collection to us in Houston.  Burberry-Houston closed their door to the public for the event at 7pm and their guests mingled, and browsed the current collection in Burberry.  I can't even say how much I loved everything in there....I typically don't go into Burberry since I can't afford it, but I may have to stop in to see what I see online in person from now on.  There's just something about being around quality-made clothing...I can't explain it, just something about it.

Champagne and Cocktails? I think I will!

After mingling and browsing the current collections in the store (Fall/Winter 2012) it was time to watch the Runway presentation.  Burberry's Spring/Summer 2013 runway show debuted a few days before during London Fashion Week, and Chris Bailey and his team at Burberry wanted those of us unable to attend in person to experience the runway.

  1. Those shades are very cute and chic. Scared to ask how much they were. They're probably the only thing I could come close to affording though. Ha ha! Like you, I feel it's always nice to be around such luxurious items but it's just not realistic for me right now. *sigh*

    1. I found them online and they were $250. Not too bad in the world of high-end sunglasses, seems to be around the same price for most of the brands. But I feel ya! It's like that look, don't touch!
