WHAT I WORE: Red, White & Blue

 

It's so cliche to do a 4th of July outfit post...but I'mma do it anyway! haha.  Though the majority of Americans don red, white, & blue on the 4th everyone has their own take on it! I try to change mine up every year, so this is my 2012 look!

How did you spend your 4th of July holiday if you were here in the states? It was a real drag that the holiday was in the MIDDLE of the work week this year, so no 3-day weekend for us, but it was still fun. The night before I hung out at my pool with Nikiage & Imani, and then slept in until 1pm on the 4th.  After finally getting out of bed, my friend Valerie and I walked across the street to my friend Viviana's pool which looked like MTV's Spring Break.

Though it looked like a lot of fun to be in at this pool with a million and one people, we actually went to the more "chill" pool on the other end of the apt.

I painted my nails with my new Essie polish c/o of a Klout Perk, and snacked on some festive holiday brownie bites! Around 7 we left and got ready for fireworks back at my place and headed back across the street to go to the rooftop to see the fireworks. That's one thing I miss about my old apartment complex is the amazing view from the roof of the city of Houston.  It was a great night for fireworks!
