WHAT I WORE: Omar's Fashionable Birthday Party

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

I'm a big fan of fashion events during the week...I think it's because it opens up my weekends to just relax and sleep-in and be lazy. Though during the week I'm committed to boot-camp, so I often find myself running from working out to an event, but I don't mind! And Thursday was no exception. After class I attended a fashionable birthday celebration for Houston Photographer Omar Mejia. 5 Stack Vintage & T.I.M.E. Management put on a fashion show at Deborah Colton Gallery in his honor benefiting the Houston SPCA & Starlight for American Cancer Society. More on the event on tomorrow's post, but first what I wore.

ENSEMBLE:
Dress: Er...I don't remember...lol
Shoes: Bumper (Burlington)
Necklace: Peacock Plume
FashFlats: Dr. Scholl's (Texas Style Council)

This look was one of those you don't have a lot of time in between activities, throw something on outfits.  And this is why I love dresses. Dresses are so easy, and they seem to still fit me for the most part no matter how much I fluctuate in weight, so I've been sticking with wearing dresses more! I love the hint of blue in the dress and decided to accent that with blue accessories (scarf and shoes), and stick with silver jewelry. But alas, standing and walking around in this chic heels started to hurt after an hour of doing boot camp, so I was happily prepared with my pack of Fash Flats that I received at the Texas Style Council and changed into them right before the Fashion Show started.

OUTFIT DETAILS

I now think my legs are my best feature, from all the cardio we do in Boot-Camp!

And Congratulations to Cindy Lafalaise of Let's Talk Fashion for winning my Distinctive Designs by Tomira Giveaway!
