A Trunk Full of Pearls

The lovely Crystal Milton with her pieces. Doesn't she just channel Audrey Hepburn?
Friday night I attended Crystal Milton's P.S. You're Lovely Trunk show at One Green Street Boutique.  Crystal makes amazing pearl necklaces, along with other unique pieces of Jewelry.  I was able to ask her about the inspiration behind her new pieces for sale at One Green Street.

Marilyn's Glasses were inspired by the pair of glasses Marilyn wore in one of her most memorable films: How to Marry a Millionaire.  Using a photograph of Marilyn from the movie, Crystal was able to find a similar pair of glasses to incorporate them into this piece.

Something Blue is for the blushing bride on her wedding day. You know the saying, "Something borrowed, something new, something old, something blue", right? Well this love pearl piece incorporates blue into the bride's wedding day, without taking away from the dress, and the fact that the blue is in the back, this strand of pearls can be worn with any dress the bride chooses to wear.
Blue sapphire Swarovski Crystals are the subtle glam of this simple pearl necklace.

Crystal's earrings are made from up-cycled vintage buttons from Italy

Signed With Love is obviously a play on the jewelry collections name P.S. Your Lovely and their signature collection.  Since the signature P.S. is most commonly used in letters and communications, this pearl piece has an envelope and what appears to be a feather quill. Perfect to represent the brand

Pearl Envy is a play on the phrase Green with Envy, and green is often referenced with the emotion jealousy.  This pearl necklace has green pearls in between the main pearls.

Though my camera makes the below gem look blue, it's actually a very dark green. My Eyes Are Green was inspired by Erykah Badu's song My Eyes Are Green. Crystal said she couldn't get the song out of her head, and decided to make a necklace for it.

The Jackie O necklace has a little secret, as Crystal described it...it's actually 2 necklaces in one.  The first baby pearl strand can actually unhook from the other two and be it's own necklace.

Accessories for men have not been overlooked by Crystal. She creates cufflinks out of vintage game cubes, glass tiles from mosaic tiles, and wallpaper

I love Crystal's business cards! How cute are they that they resemble envelopes. I swear this girl thinks of everything!
Two stylists from The Do Bar were there doing complimentary hair styles. I walked in there with a drawstring ponytail, and walked out with a cute French Twist courtesy of my stylist below.

I have blogged about One Green Street before in my CultureMap Fashion on Sale post, and now I've finally had a chance to visit. One Green Street is such a great space. As soon as you walk into this posh boutique you are overcome with amazing smells, bright and cheery lighting and amazing displays of their organic and green products.

Of course the last time I blogged about One Green Street I spoke highly of their designer Monique Weston who makes these custom jewelry pieces out of up-cycled hardware...door hinges, key holes, etc. I'm so in love with these pieces that I am now saving up for one!
