Some Sparkle for a Busy Day

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Last Thursday was a busy night for me! I had 6 events to go to, but only made it to 2...oh well, I can't be in all places at once.  But since I new it was going to be a busy night, I went to work in the look I wanted to wear for the evening, because I knew I wouldn't have that much time to change between work at the first event at 5:30.

ENSEMBLE
Glitter Tank: No clue
Cardigan: New York & Company
Skirt: New York & Company
Belt: New York & Company
Boots: Colin Stuart (Victoria's Secret)
Earrings: C/O Glam Chicks

What I love about this look is the versatility of the individual pieces. I can wear this wrap cardigan in a variety of ways, I can tuck the top in, or leave it on the outside. I can use the belt under the cardigan or over it, I can scrunch the boots down to not be knee-high...many variations...:-)

So first stop last Thursday was work, in which I had my co-worker Justin take my my annual holiday picture in front of the work Christmas Tree. Justin just LOVES taking these pictures of me. He doesn't find it embarrassing at all when people are walking by wondering what the heck we are doing! BUAHAHAHAHA. I really should get him a Christmas present for all of his help in my blog photo taking!

Then our other co-worker Hanim was nice enough to take this photo of the both of us! Every year I take this picture with my "boys" but now there's only one left. There used to be 3 :-(.

My first stop after work was Houston Tidbits Holiday Party at Curate Pop-Up shop in Uptown Park.  It was a cute little shop, and I bought a cool Drape Vest by Herff Christiansen that was on sell from $100+ something to $35.00! What a steal! I can't wait to style it.  Curate is Paper City's Pop up shop, so there were magazines and books for sale! I thought this pencil was the coolest thing ever! look closely!

It's made out of other pencils

Then I headed back to my sister AMLI apartment for Langford Market Memorial for their Girl's Night! Unfortunately not a lot of people could get it, so not a lot of people were there, but they missed out because I felt like it was a personal shopping treat for me!!  Erika of Atelier Salon did my hair! :-)

There's still time to help me win Langford Market (Houston)'s Blogger Mannequin Style-Off Competition. Just click this LINK and "like" my photo to vote for me! :-)
