"Like" this look on Facebook HERE to vote for me in the Blogger Mannequin Style-Off Competition hosted by Langford Market
In addition to attending Culture Maps Soiree Tuesday Night, I also attended Langford Market's "Blog for the Holiday" Event.  They were hosting local Houston Bloggers to help their shoppers with their style, and many of the bloggers were ones I've been networking with lately, so I wanted to show my support. Also you may remember that Langford Market is the sister store to DuO Houston, so another reason to attend! Each blogger also dressed a Mannequin to enter LM's Blogger Mannequin Style Competition. The winning Blogger will receive a $100 Gift Certificate to LM.  I showed up to support and the Store Manager, Amber Twis asked me to style one to...so I did! Above is the final look, and is has my style all over it!! I would definitely wear Mannie's (My Mannequin's name) look!

My inspiration for this look was thinking about a girl who is headed to a holiday or New Year's Eve party. You can't just wear anything to a party, so I wanted to find the perfect dress in the store, and this one shouldered navy blue dress caught my eye.  I love that it's not just a one shoulder sleeve, but a sleeve with fabric embellisment, and the sweetheart neckline is so flattering on many women!

The dress by itself was great, but I definitely felt that I needed to add some fun accessories to it. I opted for this Laurel Green color belt. It actually just arrived at Langford that week, so it was new. I think the color was perfect with the dress. Just enough color to stand out, but subtle enough to not take over, and let's not forget the intricate design detail of the front of the belt! It's actually a snap belt, so it snaps in the back.
As far as the necklace, there was no contest on which one I would pick. As soon as I got in front of their accessories rack, I knew this was the winner! This is the necklace you want to wear when headed out to a party. It's an attention grabber, it's shiny and it is the perfect compliment to this one-shoulder dress. It's also adjustable, so you can make it as long or as short as you want!

I then needed a coat, because going to a party in December unless you live in the Southern Hemisphere of the globe, you will more than likely need a coat.  Langford had so many great coats.  They had a Faux-Fur Collar A-Lined Black Peacoat, Cute cropped Grey and Red Peacoats, but when I was told about the Camel coat I had to have it for Mannie!

But even with the addition of the coat, I felt like Manny was still  missing something...so I added this fun Fashion Scarf. Now it may not keep you as warm as a full wool winter scarf, but it looks darn good against this coat!

Don't forget to please help me win the Blogger Mannequin Style-Off by liking my look on Facebook Here!
