CHRISTMAS TAG

*Christmas Tag*
While perusing blogs this evening I came across a blog that was doing a Christmas Tag! Unfortunately I forgot to copy the blog info to give credit back, but I did not make this up! She tagged everyone who read her posts, so here are my answers:

1. What are you doing for the Holidays this year?
I'm back in my hometown with my Mom & Dad.  We are going to spend Christmas Eve at the house with my sister and Ed (her husband), and then since Christmas is on Sunday we will be at church and then have Christmas Dinner, and then go see a movie

2. What's your favorite Holiday drink?
Hmm...I don't think I have a favorite holiday drink...I love drinking hot chocolate this time of year

3. Candy cane or Gingerbread man?
Gingerbread Man

4. What's your favorite Christmas Song?
Definitely can't pick one, but some of my favs are as follows:
Michael Crawford - O Holy Night
Frank Sinatra - Christmas Waltz
Nat King Cole - The Christmas Song
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Carol of the Bells

5. Have you ever made a Snowman?
Yep! I know I've attempted...can't remember if any of them have been successful

6. What's your favorite winter fragrance?
Cinnamon!

*Holly Jolly Tag*
1. Favorite Christmas Movie?
Miracle on 34th Street

2. Are you on the Naughty list or the Nice list?
I HOPE, I'm on the Nice list!

3. Show us an embarrassing Christmas Card photo! (WE KNOW YOU HAVE ONE OK)
Hahaha, don't have a copy of one at the moment!

4. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
I grew up up North in Pennsylvania, so most of my Christmas' were white

5. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
Back home in Pittsburgh

6. Play or Sing your favorite Christmas Song!

7. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Traditionally my family always exchanges one gift on Christmas Eve and then open the rest in the morning, but this year we are going to open all of them on Christmas Eve since Stacy and Ed will be with his family on Sunday

8. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?

Dasher, Donder, Comet, Vixen, Prancer, Cupid, Rudolph, Blitzen...and for the life of me I can't think of the last one

9. What holiday tradition are you looking forward to the most this year?

Watching A Christmas Carol on Christmas eve, and reading Twas the night before Christmas, and singing Happy Birthday to Jesus on Christmas morning

10. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

The one at my apt in Houston is fake, and so is the one here at my parents' house

11. Hands down, what's your all-time favorite holiday food and holiday sweet treat?

HOLIDAY COOKIES! ESPECIALLY THUMBPRINT COOKIES!!! As far as food I love ham with pineapple.

12. Be Honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?

I love buying gifts for everyone. It's just something to hunt for that perfect gift and see their face when they open their present!

13. Show us your tackiest Christmas attire (ex: Ugly Sweater)

I don't own any horrible Christmas gear! hahaha, lucky me

14. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

As much as I hate the cold, Christmas isn't the same to me without snow, so it would be fun to spend the weekend at some amazing ski lodge that has a natural snow fall (None of this fake snow stuff)

15. Does your family have a special holiday recipe you like to help make?

Hmm, I don't think we do any "special" holiday recipe...

16. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

I HATE WRAPPING PRESENTS

17. Most memorable Holiday moment?

Coming home the one year and finding that the cats had knocked over the Christmas tree and they were just sitting in the middle of it

18. What made you realize the truth about Santa?
The one year I didn't receive the Christmas present I wanted...lolol

19. Do you make New Years Resolutions? Do you stick to them?

Not really, I kind of start my own goals sporadically throughout the year!

20. What makes the Holidays special for you?

Being with family and friends, and remembering the reason for the season - the best gift of all. The Birth of Jesus Christ!

  26. Posts like these are so interesting! I must be quite nosy haha. By the way, in answer to your question on my blog, CF is short for Cystic Fibrosis which is basically a genetic condition that affects mainly the lungs which means that I'm ill loads with like frequent chest infections and I have to take crapload of medicine everyday and go to hospital loads and all that. It's also life limiting, with most sufferers not living past their 30's. I write a bit about CF on my blog to raise awareness of it, because it's the UK's and America's most common life threatening genetic condition, yet so little is known about it, especially since it is a 'hidden' illness where there are no obvious signs anything is wrong on the outside. Sorry I've rabbited on a bit here! But I need to raise awareness haha!

  30. Josie, Thanks so much for explaining this to me. Awareness definitely needs to be made aware on this disease. I've heard of it, but I never really new what it entailed. Would you be interested in being featured on my blog to discuss this? I would love to help spread awareness. I will keep you in my prayers too! And statistics about not living beyond 30 can never beat out what God's plan is for people. Happy holidays!

  31. Hahaha, even though I've moved to Houston, I've still only celebrated my Christmas's up North, so always cold for me. It would be weird for me for it to be warm during Christmas!! I love florida! I must go back and visit there!
