Welcome to Miami--err Houston

Colette (Letty) and I ready to paint the town lounge red
The nightlife in Houston seems to be exponentially expanding and becoming more and more posh.  This past Saturday I went to this lounge called Roak.  This is the second bar/lounge that I've been to in Houston that has a pool.  The first one is Mona Lisa in City Centre.  The interesting thing about Roak is it used to be a funeral home...creepy? I know. But anyway Roak reminded me of one of my favorite nightspots in Miami called Opium.  Opium didn't have a pool, but the inside had no ceiling, it was just open to the sky (hate to see what happens on a rainy night!). So literally you were dancing & partying under the stars.  The area above the pool at roak was open to the night sky. I had a great time, but I have to say the music could have been better.  I really hate when djs make every current song techno and transy...just let it play the way it's played on the radio!!!
