SALSA (not the dip)

What do you wear to salsa? I love dancing, whether it's salsa, hip-hop, even some country line-dances are fun to me.  This past weekend my good friend Colette was in town. You've seen her in this blog before. Anyway she a lover of Latin culture and wanted to visit her old stomping grounds of Taco Milagro. Tago Milagro is a Mexican Restaurant/Bar/Live Music place near my house. It's great for drinks and dancing to Latin Music.  Usually if I'm going to go salsa dancing I would wear a loose ruffle, frilly skirt that would look pretty during the spins, but I opted to have my shirt be the focus! This is definitely a lesson in proportion. My shirt is big and loose so I paired it with a tighter and shorter black skirt.  I'll also tell you another secret...My necklace is safety pinned to my shirt...why, you ask? Well for the more "endowed" woman we find it difficult to wear long necklaces that don't fall in between our chest. It looks horrible, and I can't stand it, but I refuse to stop wearing long necklaces. I find if I safety pin each side in place, it can't move over to the "middle"!

  4. What a great look for salsa dancing! I love all dancing too. I even took line dancing in middle school. I wouldn't know anything about necklaces falling in the cleave, though. Sigh. Maybe one day. . . ;-)
