THROWBACK THURSDAY - November 2010

Wednesday, August 10, 2011

November...what can I say about November 2010? Well, at the time it was amazing.. looking back on the month now, I view it as bittersweet. Sweet, because I was very close to obtaining my goal weight, bitter because it was also the month I met "the boy". Those of you who are close to me, know that that situation did NOT work out and I'm just now really moving on from it...and...some of these pictures bring back memories...but why punish my looks?

  8. Sorry to hear, but at least with bad breakups, we learn a lot from it.

I love love love love those sparkly shorts in the first outfit. Also, your casual jeans outfit (the first one) is great too. And the black dress. Can't forget the LBD!

    Dear Shasie,
Thank you for the lovely comment you left on the Compassion Fashion Project about my magazine. I am so deep in the production of it, that I tend to forget to celebrate the magazine's content. I loved stopping by your blog, and if I can encourage you to buy more ethical fashion I will :)

  19. You've always been lovely, Shasie! I know how hard some memories can be, but you shined then and you shine just as much now!

Thank you for your comment you left on the post about the red dress :) It's really flattering and encouraging to hear that! This McCalls pattern I've been using (M5879) is the only commercial pattern I've used since I started blogging and luckily it fits me pretty well. It's a pull-over dress, so it's a forgiving fit in general. When it comes to altering patterns, I'm pretty clueless, but I have lots of books to consult if it ever becomes an issue!

How did your patternmaking class turn out for you?

  36. Thanks so much for the support Jane! It went "okay" I was a bit frustrated, and I still don't think I got everything right on this piece, but I haven't started sewing it yet (no time) so I will have to tell you if it really worked after the fact.

    lol

  37. Of course! Hmm I find that we are usually our harshest critics (I know I am) so I'm sure your results are better than you think :) Please keep me updated on it!
