Today for Fan Feature Friday, I present to you Jazmin of Walk This Way blog.  She is a very artistic, high school student with a love of architecture. Happy Reading!!

Name: Jazmin
Age: 17
Occupation: Student
Hometown Location: London
Current Location: London
Blog URL (if Blogger): http://www.jazza17.blogspot.com

How did you come up with the name of your blog? Okay, so my url is jazza17.  Jazza is my nickname and will follow me where I go, but my blog name is 'Walk this Way'. I chose walk this way because I idolize runway fashion. I love it and I think everyday you should walk around with the same confidence you see on those models.

What are your goals for your blog? And how long have you been blogging? I started my blog in June of 2010, but I only seriously started getting into it January of this year. I set a goal for myself to reach 200 followers by the end of 2011, and surprisingly I am already there! Now my next goal is to reach 300 followers and so forth! I'm excited to watch my blog grow and see how my style develops as I get older.

Where are some of your favorite spots to vacation, or would like to vacation? I went to Rome last year and I loved it, mainly because of the art and architecture. I'd love to back. I would absolutely love to go to New York. I've never been there and I hear so many amazing things about it.

How did you become interested in architecture? Do you feel that architecture and fashion are related? I became interested in Architecture when our home was undergoing renovation.  I was absolutely fascinated by the floor plans. I bought some books on it and started watching "Grand Designs" and my passion grew from there!

You mention that if your career as an architect doesn't plan out, you'd work at a museum.
  • What kind of jobs are offered at museums?  There are many different types ranging from curating to researching or just tour guiding.
  • And of these jobs, which one would you like? To be honest with you, if architecture doesn't work out for me, I'd love to study Art history and then be a tour guide.  I love the idea of talking about art all day to people!
  • Do you have a particular museum in which you would like to work? In a perfect world, The National Gallery.

I see you  link to a page of painting. Are these all done by you? So talented!! When did you first discover your love of art? Where did you hone your skills? Thank you, and yes, I did them all myself. I've always been creative from a young age. Art, I feel is just another way to express myself and the way I see the world.

Here are some recent pieces of art completed by Jazza for school

Check out more of her paintings via her blog HERE

Where do you get your inspiration for your fashion sense and your art? I get my inspiration mainly from magazines such as Vogue and Elle and not forgetting of course other bloggers! I enjoy looking at other people's blogs and their style. most of the art I've created is based on a broad title to work from and so I'm sometimes inspired  by current affairs, other artists, or just my imagination!

And of course your DRAWING page is also amazing. I said it before, but I will repeat here again how talented you are! I love meeting people that can draw. I always hear that artist think different from others. Do you think you perceive the world differently? I always like to take in my surroundings wherever I go and I enjoy traveling because I like to see how the world differs culturally and aesthetically from place to place.

Would you classify fashion as an art form? Definitely! It's a way of expressing who you are and what you're about as a person. Fashion is a creative form, just like art.

Do you listen to music while working on your pieces? Yes, and very loudly apparently!

Tell us about UNI, what is that? I've applied to go to the University in September (fingers crossed that I'll get the grades) to study Architecture.  (GOOD LUCK!! Though you don't need it, you are very creative and they would be crazy not to accept you!)

Do you follow more fashion blogs or art blogs? Oh, I definitely follow more fashion blogs.

Have you ever thought about getting into photography as a way of art expression? I've never really thought about it seriously. I don't have a good enough camera and to be honest, I'd rather paint or sketch something!

Do you have any fashion icons? I love Victoria Beckham's style--so chic and elegant. If I could afford it, I would buy every piece from her collection. I also love Alexa Chung. I like how she conveys her personality through her styling in a cute, quirky way.

Tell us some of your favorite artists, dead or alive? Favorite artists: Lucian Freud, Jenny Saville, Shirin Neshat and I also really admire the magazine cover sketches of John Paul Thornton. I think he's amazing!

Would you like to add anything else for my readers? Please stop by and check out my BLOG. You can also find me on Twitter (be warned, I am very animated on there) and my tumblr. I'd also like to thank the gorgeous Shalanda for this great opportunity. :-)

You are so welcome girlie! I'm glad I was able to interview you! Well that's it for this week's installment of Fan Feature Friday!! I know y'all loved reading about Jazza and her fantastic artistic skill and stylish fashion sense.
