ASYMMETRIC

Sunday, August 14, 2011

I have tons of "asymmetrical" tops in my closet but I just never wear them.  I don't know why...but since they seem to be all the craze in the  fashion blogosphere lately, I decided to wear one and style it.  I've had this grey top forever (way before it was trending)!! I think I never wore it because I couldn't figure out what to do with my bra straps with it...hence the vest. I added the black vest so I didn't have to worry about them. I tried to pair it with shorter, fitted bottoms, to keep the proportions in check.

STYLE TIP: Loose on top/Fitted on bottom  or Fitted on top/Loose on bottom

Ensemble:
Vest: A'Gaci
Top: Express
Shorts: New York & Company
Sandals: Payless

I wore this look the same day as White Linen Nights in the Heights. It was my very comfy look to go to the salon! I love when my hair is fresh from the salon. It's shiny, and manageable and can actually tolerate the humidity for a few days and still keep it's style....but as soon as I start working out, or spend excessive amounts of time outside...this nice cute fresh look disappears!! You can always tell when it's time for me to have my next visit to the salon because I start wearing wigs!!
