WATER WALL

Friday, July 08, 2011

Ever since I moved to Houston, I've been fascinated with this attraction in the Galleria Area. I've always called it the "Water Wall"...found out, that it actually IS called the Water Wall according to the plaque below.  Anyway, I love to take people who come to visit me to this wall.  Needless to say I took Tara to the wall.

Ensemble:
Tank: Don't remember
Shorts: H&M
Scarf: Don't Remember
Shades: Fendi
Crossbody Bag: New York & Company
Shades: Fendi
Belt: Flea Market in PA

So my look was very different...at least for me.  I admit that I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or even be able to pull it off. In some of these pictures I like it, but in others I feel I look like an old woman who doesn't know how to dress!! Haha. I love scarves, and I love wearing scarves in my hair, but I've never really tried to pull off the whole "Scarf Head" look.  So I thought I would give it a shot. My next experiment will be tieing the scarf as a turban. The main reason I tested out this scarf head is because I washed my hair that morning and didn't feel like straightening it, and it was a gigantic frizzy puffball...lolol

Leading up to the Water Wall is one of the tallest buildings in Houston, Texas. I forget the name of it, so for now we will refer to it as the Mirrored Building....(I know! I'm so creative! Water Wall, Mirrored Building...-->insert blank face here<--)

Just to give you an idea of the scale, Tara is in this picture leaning against the streetlight. Look how small she looks! I couldn't even capture the whole building in one frame even with my camera set on widescreen.
Coming around the Mirrored Building to see the Water Wall
 Almost There!
Facing the Water Wall from the Mirrored Building
I decided to lay in the fake grass, because I just wanted to "Enjoy" nature.  Well nature enjoyed me right back! I got bit by 2 fire ants, and I was itchy from the "fake" grass for the rest of the day! Learned my lesson!

Ok time to head back to our car! Too hot to be out here for long! Facing Mirrored Building from Water Wall.

And now I leave you with my favorite pic from the day. The reflection of the Water Wall in the Mirrored Building.

And like always, please support me in my Fashiolista Blogger Contest, but facebook liking my Entry Here!

Thanks!
