THROWBACK THURSDAY - July 2010

Thursday, July 14, 2011

I clearly had a lot of fun with my weave in all of these outfit posts. I was so in love with that sew-in. Sew-in is one of the many ways of creating a weave (attaching hair to your natural hair). It consists of corn-rowing your natural hair, and literally threading the weave hair through your cornrows with a hair needle and thread. The shade and the waves were so fun to play with! I haven't had a weave since the cruise, because they can be damaging if you wear them too often. I usually only get them done for special occasions: Vacations, Birthdays, & Weddings! Yep, I will be getting a weave done for my Sister's wedding in October, though that one will be straight like my weave on my About/Contact page.

I love this dress that I bought from TARGET!! It was hot, but I still chose to wear my leather vest out to the club. 2nd look is just capturing the full dress without the vest. Francesca (Don't Call Me Fashion Blogger), I guess I do wear high, heavy boots in the Summer!!

The following series, I labeled Susie "Work" Maker as I was channeling cute dresses and headbands from Susie Homemaker, but I wearing them to work!
One can never have too many pencil skirts!!

Another work look, but the straps were inappropriate for work, so I wore the vest, and after the vest was removed!
The look on the left, I wore out to one of the bars on Washington.  That top is one of my favorite going out tops! Look number 2 is just another work look, but it's so comfy, and I love the big medallion necklace.
Look on the left I wore out on a 2nd date with a boy, and look on the right, I wore to brunch with my friends!

Oh and my last night and day on the cruise were actually posted the first day in July, so here are 3 more cruise pictures:

Me saying goodbye to our stateroom attendant! He was so nice, but I forget his name :-(
Random statue outside of bathroom on ship. And no I'm not "nipply", the dress actually pinches at the point, the only thing I didn't like about that dress!
This was my favorite going out dress on the ship, but this picture is not the best....
Which look is your favorite from my July 2010 Lookbook?

  23. Love the looks of all these wonderful dresses. I have a dress like the one you showed that has darts at the front. I camouflage with a cute blazer. I went on an Oasis of the Sea cruise and our attendant was really nice to (his name was Charlie).
I love the mod print with the yellow headband.
