NCAA-Bucknell-St. Patty's

Ensemble:
T-Shirt: Bucknell University (Circa 2006)
Jeans: Express
Shoes: Connie (Famous Footwear)
Cardigan: New York & Company
Facepaint: Courtesy of Baker's Street Pub Facepainting Lady
Necklaces: Courtesy of Saint Dane's Promoters!

A lot of things were going on today and I tried to combine my look to cover both. As all of you know today was St. Patrick's Day and typically I would wear green (though I'm not Irish, it's still fun). But today my alma mater also played in the first round of the NCAA March Madness Tournament, so I had to rock some orange for "Ray Bucknell!". So I wore the orange shirt out to the bars, but aquired green decor as the night went on. My favorite is the facepaint! The lady did such a neat job, and even though it's a bit Mike Tyson esk, I LOVE IT! Unfortunately Bucknell did not win their match-up against the University of Connecticut, but it was great to get together with fellow Bucknellians in the area to watch the game.

  1. I barely learned that wearing green was for the Irish and Catholics (still don't know the whole story). I absolutely love your hair and the facepaint! The blend of colors is just so much like watercolors instead of the typical thick, solid paint. By the way, I saw your weightloss blog and I greatly admire your journey!

  2. I actually just read about that today too! That they hardcore ones don't appreciate the color orange (I read because it represents Irish Protestants)so I was like, hope I don't upset anyone today!

Thanks for checking out my weight-loss blog! It was a long journey, but I'm so glad I was able to do it!

  3. I love how spirited your outfit is! I think orange and green go well together :)

Surprisingly, I think more than half the people I passed yesterday were not wearing green. For a moment I thought I had the wrong day!

  4. Dad and I love your outfit. It's very pretty. We love the face paint decoration, too. At least Bucknell got as far as they did. I always like the combo of orange and black. Those are my high school colors!!!

  5. I love the art. I hardly saw people wear green when i was up in London on the day but there were some cool big irish hats around.
